Congratulations to Carla, the winner of the Patricia Krebs one-of-a-kind pendant. In response to my post, Carla made the following comment:
I don’t mind difficult women, but I really can’t stand the stubborn to my own detriment type.
Carla, I couldn’t agree with your more. I like my heroes to work for the heroine’s love, but they can be too difficult. It’s a fine distinction for an author walking the line between the perfect goody two shoes heroine that everyone loves to the heroine who won’t accept love because of her issues or her own self perception. I hope that heroine I write or read knows that she is worthy of love, no matter who she is. I also hope to read and write about heroes who realize the heroine’s unique gifts and is able to convince himself and her that she’s worth the trouble.
